What do I do if I have two conflicting events scheduled on the same day?

Priority should be given to any group events or individual events such as Talent Performances, Vocabulary Bee or Culture Bowl where timeliness is critical. There is an hour time block for most events to allow for participation in both.

If necessary, a student can communicate with the room monitor or judges to let them know of the conflict so they are not counted as a No-Show.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do I do if I have an outside conflicting event scheduled on the same day?

Any outside conflicts should be communicated directly to the Competition Chair, Stephanie Grinder, by the student's teacher so that arrangements can be made. Events cannot be rescheduled for individual students.

In some cases, students may have to change competition events to accommodate their conflict.

If a student is not present to receive their awards, a teacher or school representative should be present to pick those up at the end of the competition day.

What do I do if I have paid my registration and now cannot attend?

NO REFUNDS are given for this event.

If a student must cancel their participation, a teacher can allow another student to replace their registration spot.

Any changes to registrations must be communicated to the Competition Chair no later than Wednesday, February 28.
